Shiitake Mushroom Onion Soup ;)

Here's my first Shiitake recipe adapted from a recipe on the Internet (see link at the bottom).  Here are the adapted instruction, you can click on the image and print them. The recipe yields an amazingly filling and consistent Shiitake Mushroom Onion Soup :P Delicious!!! If you have other recipes or tips, feel free to let me know :)

Picking mushrooms in my own b...bathroom

Beautiful, beautiful, so exciting!!! Okay, so I put them in the fridge until I figure out what to do with them...or more how to eat them...:)

Oh my! Mushy Explosion!

WOW!!! So I cut the plastic yesterday to make room for the big mushrooms and today, voila! I will cut the three big ones tonight to make room for the others ;)

Biggest gossip of 2011, yet...

It is now 54% humidity and 15 degrees Celcius in the environment of what looks like my first offspring :D. I called them, Shi-shi, Ta-ta and Ke-ke :) Very exciting!
Although I have left my little block for a couple days to its fate without sprinkling with love and water, humidity inside the mushroom bag remained...
The overall aspect of the mushroom block didn't change, however, the mushrooms started to make their room inside and push on the plastic. At the bottom of the bag, although it is not recommended I must say, I made some incisions to let the mushrooms grow. It is better to ignore the mushrooms at the bottom as too many incisions release the humidity and ruins the bag for further fruiting. On that note, I will await further surprises :)
